Clinique Blended Lightweight Face Powder For Every Skin Type & Brush- 08 Transparency Neutral, 1.2 oz

I asked for advice on choosing a shade in this Blended Face Powder, as there are no stock images, no color descriptions, and no models--unless one counts a photo of the closed container as being helpful. My skin tone is CN 0.5 Shell, very fair and very cool toned (pink-porcelain overtones/lavender undertones). Invisible Blend was recommended, so I was extremely disappointed to discover that this powder is NOT invisible and it is not lightweight. It's a medium-light ochre that darkens and warms my skin. It also doesn't live up to its claims, which is to make pores disappear. Instead, it settles in pores, looking cakey and creating warm yellow divots all over my face, even after I used the suggested application guidance (rub a tiny amount of powder between hands and press into skin). I've tried it over DDMG, both with and without sunscreen and with and without the discontinued Pore Perfector primer. I have used different applicators (sponge, brush, puff) all with the same ugly, unnatural result, so I am not sure the fault is mine. My skin is in excellent condition because I have been using Clinique skincare for almost 4 decades: No flakes, no acne, no texture besides large pores and some fine lines. This purchase was a waste of money, and I'll have to go back to using another C brand's Poudre Libre, which *does* blur pores and matches my skin tone. Unfortunately that powder contains fragrance, but this Blended Face Powder is unwearable, and needs must.
