I've had the same Chicago Cutlery since 1970. A wedding gift that was used for over 50 years which later used for 4 boys. It was used every day several times a day. I absolutely took great care in the maintenance of the knives. Never put them in the dishwasher kept the handles oiled and sharpened them regularly. The original set contained a butcher block and several knives. This time I ordered the walnut traditional same as the ones used for over 50 years. So far I have experienced the same quality as my first and only set. Hopefully I will pass these down to a family member that will enjoy them like I have. Maintenance is a must for longevity and sharp quality knives.
