This rod and reel combo does exactly what it says it does catch cat daddies! Caught a cat then almost caught a mutant right after.The monster got loose no fault of the combo.The rod is sturdy and can handle a beating along with easy to toss heavy weights.The reel is another story but what do you expect for a 1 bearing 30 buck combo.it works but it sounds bad and doesnt feel amazing.does it catch fish? yes does it do it cheap and right out the package? yes with 15lb line it can catch daddies right away!!! no lie i bought this with very little expectations and it exceeded every single category there is.now it is a regular when we go fishing.when the reel give out ill upgrade it but until then the fisherman is out catching cat daddies on this beast!!
