Finally - dishwasher safe whip

KitchenAid should have been including these dish-washer save versions with their mixers. They used to do that. Now, they include one with aluminum that is not dishwasher safe and will turn black and nasty. This works great with my KSM150PSIC Artisan Series 5-Qt. Stand Mixer and has no issues in the dishwasher. So glad to have this again, as my old mixer was 100% stainless steel like this. The price is way too high, but I am willing to live with it.

Spoke detached from base

One of the spokes has become detached and popped off as I was using it. I'm hesitant to continue using it as more may fly off (causing damage or metal flakes in my batter!). As I'm reading other reviews, this may be a newer model, after the quality declined. I do love the kitchenaid (I've been using my kitchenaid stand mixer for some time, so it's definitely out of warranty.). It does make me wonder about other kitchenaid products- if they still hold up to the quality I associate with Kitchenaid!

Black Hands

I bought my second stand mixer after having one for close to 20 years and was happy with it except for the whip, even if you hand wash it, it corrodes and leaves a black residue on your hands, which is not good when baking or for anything for that matter. You should have included the dishwasher-safe whip by now. These things cost a lot of money; I don't have time to scrub my hands whenever I touch the whip. I would think that you would leave the crap out!! I love the stand mixer, just not the cheap whip.
