Don't believe the negative reviews.
Sturdy all-metal - Assembled in minutes. Everything fit and worked well. Was prepared to deal with issues reviewed previously, but obviously those negative remarks were a) made by the mechanically impaired mistaking the stand for an automotive jack or b) fixed by the manufacturer. Considering the expense needed to retool and modify the steel device, I vote for a) and only wonder how they were able to turn on their computer.

Good monitor stands
Worked like a charm and costs way less than competitors. One of my monitors didn't go quite high enough to sit above my laptop but I just put a wood block on the desktop and clamped to both for an extra couple inches of height. Clamping gives you all that desk space back that you would otherwise waste on the free standing chunky stands.
