Hunter 52 inch Indoor Ceiling Fan No Light with Remote Control - Modern Ceiling Fan without Light, Low Profile Mount, 4 Blades, For Bedroom, Living Room, or Kitchen - Dempsey 59449, Noble Bronze

We purchased this fan to replace an existing Hunter in our living room. My wife decided she wanted a different color and rather liked the idea of not needing a pull chain. We purchased the Dempsey because it was a low profile fan (ceiling is about eight feet) and we opted to not purchase the light kit. This fan was easy to install. The assembly process was straightforward and even attaching the blades was a breeze. Although, I have to admit, this fan looks sort of like a propeller hanging off the ceiling. :) I wasn't sure if I liked it at first, but it's actually a very nice looking fan and, if my wife likes it, all the better. We both like the remote because all the buttons are easily operated and not having any sight myself, it makes it much easier to tell where the buttons are. We have another Hunter where the remote is flat and hard to tell where the buttons are located for each function. The only two issues I have with this fan are: •bit more motor noise than I had expected. •I wish there was a better way to manage the switch for reversing the fan. I don't know why this could not be done from the remote. Removing the cover is no problem, but if you had the light kit, it would be even more annoying. I don't know how many people change the fan direction, but it's a minor annoyance.

Quiet three speed with a good air flow on the high speed for our bedroom. I hoped to use both the wall piece and the remote piece, but we had to choose only one. I guess poor research on my part.
