Doggie bits
I have 2 small breed dogs and this was a good fit for them. I opened it and 1 just looked at it but when I called the other, they both started eating until what I put out was gone. The ingredients matter and meat is the first ingredient so I was satisfied with the option. I also liked the $3 coupon on the bag itself. I later mixed it with the food they're eating currently so it wouldn't be a shock to their stomach.
My doggo gives it two ears up
I received a free sample of this product first in exchange for my honest-to-goodness review. My doggo isn't particularly old, but she has played with enough things outside that she shouldn't, and is missing a few teeth, so I need to buy her small-bite dog food. Plus, with her heavy double coat, I also like to keep her on a well-balanced and high-quality dog food. I read the ingredients in this Chicken Soup dog food and was impressed. Everything is something that I would eat myself, made into a dog food instead. Yes, most of the words at the end of the ingredients are the hard-to-pronounce ones, but from what I gather, they are mostly probiotics and such because I recognized them from my own probiotics. The real test was how my Heeler responded to the food. She's always ready to eat, but she will not eat everything even though her size says otherwise. She's actually picky. She dug into this excitedly for the weeks we've been trying it out. She has had no excess gas or loose stools. Everything has been a-okay, and I'm super happy about that. I highly recommend this dog food, but of course, every doggo is different, so I recommend a small sized bag first. There's plenty of flavors and varieties to choose from.
Small bits for small dogs!!
Scooter, our little silkie terrier really enjoyed the Chicken Soup for the Soul chicken, turkey and brown rice dog food. He eats another major brand, and I was a little worried that he would not want to to eat an unfamiliar dog food. After doing the sniff test, he ate the entire bowl of dog food. He is a small dog and we really liked that the bits were small for his teeth. All in all a really good dog food.
