Brinks Commercial Metal Hydraulic Door Closer Grade 1

This Closer is very sturdy and made of solid metal. It closes the door securely and is easily adjustable for speed of closing. The instructions were a bit confusing but even without instructions it's fairly easy to figure out how to install it. The door I installed it on was a door that often did not get shut all the way and my cats had learned how to pick it open. Now the door shuts fully each time. The cats have not escaped since! This is a great item to keep your pets or small children securely in the home and safe.

The is very quiet and easy to install. This one replaced an older one that I had on a door that came with the building. The Brinks has made an incredible change to the door, because it closes behind customers so much more smoothly and silently. It has universal mounting plate that allows for that easy replacement of the older style closers. It clearly states it's performance meets standards of ANSI Grade 1. It can adjust size to 1-6 closer. It has a 180 degree opening range. Has a 3 hour fire rated Standard, top jamb, and parallel mounting applications, which is what I use. It has adjustable closing, latching, and "back check." I would definitely recommend upgrading your old ones to this. It's worth it. It's also not nearly as heavy as my old one.
