1850 Trailblazer Coffee, Medium Dark Roast Ground Coffee, 12 oz

I really like the Folgers 1850 Trailblazer, Medium-Dark Roast Ground Coffee, 12-Ounce. This is definitely a Medium-Dark Roasted coffee an the smell is very aromatic. It smells kinda of woody and the taste is deliciously strong. The directions say to use 2 tablespoons per 6oz of water but I found I preferred to use 8 oz of water instead. The only time I have had coffee that tastes this good and strong was at an actual coffee store. It is great to finally have an awesome coffee right in my kitchen cabinet. I have nothing bad to say about this coffee and the packaging is nice enough to give this coffee as a gift. Folgers instant has always been one of my favorite coffee's but this ground coffee by them is even better to me.

It appears that Folgers is entering the gourmet coffee market. This 1850 Trailblazer blend comes in a 12 oz bag like many other brands use in their high end coffee. I haven't purchased Folgers coffee for many years, as I've been using those high end gourmet brands that come in a bag. This medium-dark blend turned out to be very full-bodied and flavorful, not at all bitter, and no silt in the bottom of the cup. We use a coffee brewer that brews at 200 to 205 degrees which has been proven the best temperature for brewing. As it turns out, we can use a little less of this Folgers 1850 Trailblazer than we use of our usual brand and it is plenty strong and full of flavor. The first couple pots we made were a little strong for our taste when we used our usual measurement. Using slightly less gives us a very fine tasting coffee. I will purchase this coffee again as long as it is competitively priced and available in our small town or online from Wamart.
