This is replacing an older computer of the same model but 16 GB RAM and 500 GB SSD drive. I tend to work my computers a bit too hard, and the extra 8 GB RAM makes a huge difference. Everything else is the same. On the old machine the fan quit sometime ago, but the chill mat I got to run with it keeps the thing cool most of the time. The unit only has two USB ports. I don't know if one is USB 2 and one is USB 3. They are not marked, and I have not tested the speed of either one. I don't see anything on spec sheets that answer this question.

The computer works just fine. What I did not like about it is it only has 2 usb ports. I use it to run my laser engraver and 3d printer. I needed to get a dock in order to plug in my keyboard and mouse and thumb drive. The micro sd card slot is to deep. I needed to use something to install and eject the cards. But as far as speed it is very good.
