White noise ruins this speaker

The speaker is nice looking and a good size. Some might like the neon, but it can be turned off. The white noise sound is unbearable. As a desk speaker, you can hear the noise over the music if you are playing at low volume. If you pause or mute the music, the noise still comes through.
