Just noodles in water
I had hoped that either of the powders involved here would be a thickening agent, but unfortunately that is not the case. When you cook these and pull them out, they're simply noodles in hot water. Add the flavor packet, and it's now just colored noodles in water. It never thickens up. Yes, some of the water will get absorbed by the noodles, but there is never any CHEESE part of this. It is always just wet noodles in water. The flavor is fine, but half of the mac and cheese experience is the CHEESE side of the equation. There should be a specific consistency and that is completely lacking. This is no different than eating wet noodles out of the pot after you heat them up, other than the flavor. Watery noodles. No thank you.
