These are pretty good cast iron skillets. They are quite heavy, and cook well. The heat seems to distribute evenly, and they cook great. I have always loved cast iron cookware. It comes with three sizes, a 10 inch, an 8 inch, and an adorable little six inch. I'll be honest, I haven't found much use for the smallest one because we have a large family and never cook so little, but it is still nice to have it with the set. If you ever cook dinner for one, it would be great. For those not familiar with cast iron, it is not easy to clean / maintain, but I do like that these come pre-seasoned and ready to use. I also love the fact that it is dishwasher safe, and rust-resistant, as that seems to be how I lose most of my pans. I also like that you can just pop it in the oven too, which is great when your food needs to be seared and then put in to bake a little more. With these, you don't have to get an additional dish dirty. They are also a pretty good price for a set of three compared to other options out there. Definitely would recommend.

I received the 3 piece Pioneer woman cast iron set yesterday. I rinsed them with water even though the set is pre-seasoned and dried with a towel. The sizes are just right for everyday use and can withstand various foods. I was able to scramble eggs and cook pancakes for breakfast. Clean up was easy. The other food that I was very excited to bake was skillet cornbread. It was very moist and baked to a very nice light color. I am looking forward to cooking and baking more foods in these skillets. This cast iron seems to be very durable. If the surface needs to be re-seasoned at any time, the instructions state to wash with hot soapy water, dry the pan and just apply a thin layer of vegetable oil to the entire pan, inside and out upside down. Place the pan in the oven on 350 degrees. Allow it to heat for one hour on baking sheet. After heating for an hour, turn off the oven and let the pan slowly cool. When cleaning after each use just rinse with hot water. For burned on foods scrub with abrasive coarse salt and a non metal brush to remove food residue. According to instructions never use abrasive cleaners because they remove seasoning. To maintain non stick surface reapply cooking oil to maintain non stick surface. Hand washing is recommended and only occasional dish washing. The cookware can be used on all cooking surfaces including induction, ceramic, electric, gas cook tops in the oven or on the grill. I look forward to purchasing more Pioneer cookware.
