I bought a dollar store flat iron because I needed it that day but it had a tendency to grab your hair in an unpleasant way, so it was returned and I ordered this Conair iron. I'm so glad I checked the reviews and saw all the good reviews on this straightener. I recently dropped and broke my Chi that I had since high school and was on the hunt for a straightener that I liked as much as that one. This one obviously isn't my chi but for 15$ it's great.
