Manufacturer: It is manufactured by the Ferrero Group, one of the world's largest food companies, originally from Alba, Piedmont, Italy. History: Nutella was created by Pietro Ferrero in 1946 as a solution to the scarcity and high cost of cocoa after World War II, using hazelnuts as the main ingredient. The first Nutella left the factory on April 20, 1964.
