It does come in several pieces that need building, however if you follow the instructions. It literally takes about 5 or 10 minutes to build. Love the features of it, the colour changing vehicle and the fact that you can get other hot wheels items to turn this one toy into a big city.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 6-year-old son was absolutely thrilled with this playset! We had a great time putting it together, though he definitely needed some help with the assembly. The set is larger than I expected, which was a pleasant surprise, and the ability to separate it in the middle makes storage much easier. It comes with one color-changing toy car. Once assembled, he spent hours playing with it. I especially appreciated the raised edges, which helped contain any water spills and kept the mess to a minimum. That said, I'd recommend placing a mat or towel underneath to keep the floor completely dry. Watching the car change color and then revert back was a highlight for my son, and the playset has plenty of engaging features to keep him entertained for hours. The only minor drawback was having to refill the hot water container a couple of times, but overall, this was a fantastic toy that brought so much joy!
