Each tablet contains 4mg of Chlorpheniramine Maleate, a powerful antihistamine that reduces symptoms of allergies. Adults and children 12 years and over, take one tablet every four to six hours for lasting relief. Do not to exceed six tablets in any 24-hour period. Do not use if you have ever had an allergic reaction to this product or any of its ingredients or to an antihistamine containing hydroxyzine. Ask a doctor before use if you have liver or kidney disease. Your doctor should determine if you need a different dose. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are taking tranquilizers or sedatives. When using this product: drowsiness may occur; avoid alcoholic drinks; alcohol, sedatives, and tranquilizers may increase drowsiness; be careful when driving a motor vehicle or operating machinery. Stop use and ask a doctor if an allergic reaction to this product occurs. Seek medical help right away. If pregnant or breast-feeding: if breast-feeding: not recommended; if pregnant: ask a health professional before use. Keep out of reach of children. I have used these for years at the advise of my mother. I take one at the first sign of cold symptoms and then another every three hours with fidelity. I'm able to continue my day as if I am not getting sick and over-all my symptoms are gone within a day or two without any side effects.

Here's Why It Works For Me
I like Chlorpheniramine Maleate 4mg Antihistamine, even though it only lasts 4-6 hours. Longer acting antihistamines I tried didn't work well. I have a chronic post-nasal drip, not lots of allergies. Claritin did nothing for me. Zyrtec knocked me out. Fexofenadine (generic of I can't remember what off the top of my head, but very well known brand) which I took for a while and decided it didn't do enough. Chlorpheniramine Maleate has been around for quite a while, I think. It seems to be enough to manage my drip, and it's relatively inexpensive. I rated value for price as 5 for the Walmart brand because it was a rock-bottom price—way less than in any pharmacies. May have even cost less than on Amazon. Really good price.
