I mix a bowl of this (bowl is small) on top of kibble. He doesn't waste any time, like all other foods, and literally licks the bowl clean. I see other reviews saying the dog threw up. Buddy has a super-sensitive stomach, so I was worried. He handled the change in food great. I assume the bad review was a bad batch.
