Perfect for the unusual purpose I needed it for…
My aunt won a new 65” LED tv at her Christmas party, but it was too large to sit in the built-in recessed bookcase of her great room. The bookcase shelves are 18” deep. I attached this tv mount to the inside back wall of the bookcase (which was 3/4” furniture-grade plywood), extended it, hung the tv on it, then snugged the tv back up against the face of the bookcase - in effect, floating the tv in front of, but right against, the face frame of the bookcase. The tv vertical sides come just to the edge of the face of the bookcase (where the bookcase wood meets the drywall). Looks and works perfectly!
