I used the Edifier's sub out to pair with a 12" dedicated subwoofer with its crossover at 80Hz, so the Edifier subs still handle above that to 100Hz. I wish 70's music was recorded better but new music shines so much on these speakers. And amazing soundstage! These are worth it, a million times.

There are a lot of connectivity choices on the back panel of the active speaker, doing much of the work of an integrated amplifier. In my case, space is an issue & it eliminated the need for an integrated amplifier. It connects my 4K TV, 4K DVD player, CD player with USB player. It also has the option for subwoofer connectivity if you want more bottom end, though the system is not weak in that area. They are relatively compact while delivering a sound that is full. It fit my needs perfectly.

I absolutely love these speakers! Just got them today and when I listened for the first time , I was shocked , for the 150W RMS that they advertise , they've got a really strong bass and crispy mids and highs. I also got them on a good deal so I would recommend them with the bottom of my heart! Edifier best audio company!
