LEGO City Space Base and Rocket Launchpad 60434

I read/saw a couple of bad reviews of this set before I got it but I don't really understand them. All of the elements are really good, from the space ship to the detailed interior of the space base. Perhaps it's slightly too expensive for what it is but that's my only minor criticism.

2024 was a great year for the Space theme. I've picked up most of the sets in the City Space and really enjoyed them. They are quite evolved from the ones I grew up with. I really like how substantial this set is and love there are so many moving bits and play features. As the largest set in the 2024 Space theme, I wish it would have more than one of the airlock pods, but on the plus side, I'm looking forward to connecting it to the Science Lab set I picked up earlier. The space suit equipment racks are a nice touch. Lego should try incorporating accessory storage in more of its sets I think (e.g., more clips, docking ports and storage boxes built into the sets). This is a great set guaranteed to keep someone busy for a while. I wish I just had more space for my Space Lego!
