These may be knock offs

Maybe paper mate just makes them a lot differently than they used to? But when I would get these in the past, they were a knock tight pen. The ones that came in the order have caps. They don't write anywhere near a smooth; these are like ordinary, ballpoint pens. Additionally, the printing on them is suspicious because it's not as clear and sharp as what I'm used to from paper mate.
