This product gives you a very realistic looking (temporary) tan. Very quick to put on and will wash off in your next shower – so this is perfect for the nervous user who is unsure how it will look. If you don't like it you can take it off right away. But I have found it is really easy to put on, practically fool-proof. The first time I tried this, I showered and shaved my legs first then applied almost immediately when out of the shower when my skin was still a bit damp. One more step I should have done to get better results would have been to put on an exfoliating scrub in the shower to get rid of any dead surface skin, but I thought of it too late, and it isn't like my results were bad having not done it, I just feel that they would have been even better if I had. But even though the directions state put on dry legs, I found it went on a little easier with slightly damp (not dripping wet) legs. The next times I tried it I tried it on dry legs (and my skin is really dry). It seems to soak in faster and I had to be more careful about streaks, but again – application is pretty fool-proof no matter how you do it. You just need to rub it in well, and evenly. If you rub too much after the product is dried, it will start to actually rub off though! I found that the feet are the trickiest area to do. You have to really be careful to rub it in evenly there, and maybe use a little bit less. After applied I waited 15 minutes before dressing just to make sure it was completely dry and after that point it didn't rub off on my clothes or bedding that night. I was impressed by that. The color is fairly believable, not orange-y at all. It says you can put on two coats for a darker look, but since I am so very white I thought I ought not push it into the realm of absurd, although I did apply to coats in my video review just to show the changes. This is a great product for when you need a tan QUICKLY!

I am rarely disappointed by Loreal. This one hit it out of the park! I love it! It is exactly what it says: "body make up lotion". I used it on my legs, which despite living in FL are PALE. I used the medium. It dries pretty fast, so to make it workable longer, I lightly wet my hands when applying. This also made blending a lot easier. A little goes a long way.The color is very natural, not orangy and it doesn't have that terrible smell of those "self tanners". It washed off my hands easily with soap and water. Once it dries, the color does not transfer to your clothing. Not only does it add color, it hides minor imperfections. My legs looked 10 years younger!! I was worried that if I got caught in a rain storm, the product would run and streak. Nope, when I showered the next day, water alone wouldn't remove the product. Like it says in the instructions: "wash off with soap and water". It did stain my white washcloth a little, but that may come out in the wash. The only slight negative about the product is that it is not moisturizing at all so for those with dry skin, it may make the dryness worse. This was not a problem for me, and conceivably one could apply with lotion; I don't think that would diminish the effects of the product. Wonderful stuff. No more pantyhose!!!!
