For the price, I recommend everybody get one they sound great they fit great. Can't complain about nothing.

I was shopping to replace a talk headset I gave away and narrowed it down to two, one of them this pair because it was JVC. I've been using JVC headphones for years now, primarily a JVC HARX700 and secondary set a HARX330. This JVC HA-S31M was bought for lighter duty use, for calls and occasionally listening while going for walks. I prefer wired headphones especially if they're only wired on one side. If they're wired on both sides, I run the wires behind down my back. This talk set was tested for calling and listening to music. It works as intended, not quite as good sounding or fitting as my big over the ear muffs but I will use those for music and TV. The box says it has a 3.94ft cord (1.2m), and it has an angled rather than straight 3.5mm plug. 10hz-26,000hz frequency response, 32ohms impedance. The talk or track button is on the side of the can not on the cord. The box has the instructions on how to use it. If a person needs a longer cord, they can buy an extension cable. The length is fine for my use, listening to music with phone in pocket. Nothing much bad to say about this set especially for this price. The headband adjusts on both sides and the pads swivel. They aren't as slippery on the head as some headphones. I read a lot of reviews on these and most were positive. They may not work for everyone, but if not, there are a lot of choices out there. My other headphones include Behringer, Samson, Koss, and Hamilton Buhl. The Behringer HPM1000 are tough, I've been sleeping on those for years to listen to audiobooks or radio plays at night. The vinyl peels and sheds on the muffs, but they take a licking and keep on playing. Hopefully won't have to buy another set for a while after this, but I use headphones a lot and tend to be open to trying new ones. The bigger over ear muffs with big drivers can help keep noise out but no such thing as noise isolation. The big JVC HARX700 are better at keeping my noise in than keeping external noise out, but those are my go to set for antisocial listening.
