Ten-year-old shepherd doing well on joint medicine

My ten-year-old dog has been on joint enhancing medicine for a few months, so we though we'd try these. He likes them, and so do I. They have the same ingredients, (apart from a couple of natural additions mentioned in the item's title), and work just as well as my usual brand. He will quite happily take them out of my hand, so I'd guess they are appetizing for a dog. However, I put them in with his evening meal, since the directions say these are better with or after food. His joints do seem more supple and he's back to his old, bouncy self.
