The quality of the product was much better than I anticipated. Overall, I have no serious criticisms, however, the lid is hinged and cannot be removed without disassembling the upper assembly, so thoroughly cleaning the kettle will be a challenge. Once the kettle reaches rolling boil it shuts down automatically, which is a nice safety feature for those that tend to forget that they turned the kettle on. I didn't realize that there were LED's ringing the burner plate, so the kettle provides a little something extra for those that are easily entertained.
