I tried this product because of a retired nurse friends recommendation. Didn't do much for my muscle pain but woke one night with burning nerve pain in my foot and didn't want to get up for my ice pack. I reached into my nightstand and applied it. Within 20 seconds the pain calmed. Been using it ever since for nerve pain and it helps immensely. And the great thing is you don't need to use much so it lasts a long time. Also is great moisturizer for dry old feet. My doc even said she had a lot of patients who use it for pain. And my 12%23 fur buddy who sleeps with me likes to lick it on my skin and he's not a licker.
