Scotts® Turf Builder® Grass Seed Fall Mix is an overseeding mix that thickens and strengthens to help prevent future weeds, and establishes quickly to help your lawn recover from summer stress. In addition, each seed is wrapped in a unique 4-in-1 WaterSmart® PLUS Coating to keep seed moist 2X longer than uncoated seed, feed to jumpstart growth, and protect against disease. Scotts® Turf Builder® Grass Seed Fall Mix is designed for full sun and light shade, and has a fine bladed texture with medium drought resistance. It can be used to overseed an existing lawn. For best results, apply in the fall when air temperatures are consistently between 60°F and 80°F. We recommend using a Scotts® spreader to apply this product (please refer to spreader settings on product label). Water daily or as needed to keep the soil surface moist until the seedlings reach at least 2 inches tall. One 15 lb. bag of Scotts® Turf Builder® Grass Seed Fall Mix has a new lawn coverage of 2,000 sq. ft. and an overseeding coverage of 6,000 sq. ft.

I've been doing wrong
For the last several years I've been overseeding every fall with tall fescue and only tall fescue because that's what some guy told me to use and come springtime my lawn looked just ok. I thought I was doing something wrong and wanted better results. Turns out a little bit of perennials rye, creeping red fescue and a touch of that Kentucky blue really thrives in my area. I can honestly say because of this grass seed my lawn has never looked better. before purchasing this grass seed, I tested out a couple different Scotts grass seeds in small flowerpots with soil from my yard and the fall mix outperformed the other grass seed.

Easy to use
This product is easy to use and as advertised greens up and fills in spots that might have needed replacing after the strange summer weather that we had. I am happy how it has rejuvenated my summer ravaged lawn and am sure that next spring will find my lawn stronger and fuller than in the past.

Full grass and easy to use
Had a low area in back of yard and ordered dirt to build up in Oct. I live in St. Louis, Mo. and the rains started coming down in Nov. The grass still came up picture perfect, lush green and full. End of Jan. right now and it still looks great. GOOD PRODUCT. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
