So far so good. Used 1 so far with the silicon bristles to compare and it was adequate in cleaning, though my sr. dog wasn't really happy with the new device. We got the job done though and painless, she just had an adjustment to change. Makes more sense to have these which can be sterilized re-used , than disposable paper or cotton pads. My dog is a smaller 19 lb. mixed breed and already had 1 dental surgery for cleaning, so these are a natural assist to keep her from going through that again-- the whole stinky breath, plaque in the mouth and gums at risk. I insist on enzymatic tooth brushing now to prevent endocarditis- infection of the heart lining, that can come from a dogs poor dental hygiene!
