Have not yet had time to give the tool a good workout, only to play with it a bit. Appears to be a very good tool, well designed, good balance. More of a traditional hatchet person, I find this tomahawk has definite advantage for peeling and shaping. Great grip control. The "mask" I ordered with it is perfect. I would suggest bumping the price a bit and including the leather mask as it goes well with the style of the tool. Reviews had mentioned complaints about the sharpness. Better to let the user determine the edge they want for their particular use. It only took a minute to refine the edge to my preference with a fine diamond stone. Very nice tool, very well done, great value.

Chogan axe/hammer

This axe/hammer fills the gap between a full size axe and a small camp hatchet very nicely. The hickory handle should be shaved to fit tightly, , but the finish will be sanded & replaced with Tung oil. Recommend ? Yes,
