TBH I didn't realize this had a scent until the review asked what I thought of it, and I think that's a good thing bc artificial scents are way too overblown and overdone in our lives at this point. Not everything needs to have a noticeable scent. Usually if it does that means something is wrong. These clean the dishes better than cascade and finish. Our dishes, glasses, flatware, and cat bowls consistently come out impeccably clean. I never have to rewash anything, and for once I don't hate my dishwasher. It also doesn't have the funky smell it used to have--which, I don't know why it had it, bc I was constantly cleaning it and it's only a year old.
