I have a much larger 'pet control' Hoover vacuum, also, but this small, lightweight one is easier to handle, and gets in the smaller spaces. The lightweight design is very helpful, for me, because I frequently, have back spasms. A feature I really like, is the canister method, of accumulating dirt, pet hair, from the carpet! Just dump, when the lid is opened, in the trash, and the canister, easily fits right back, into the vacuum! A second feature that is a tremendous all-around help, is the wide mouthed wand, of the vacuum, with an electric powered roller brush, that can easily be removed and cleaned, and easily put back together! This feature, in itself is a good investment. My larger Hoover vacuum gets clogged up with pet hair, in the large mouthed wand area, and is difficult to take apart and clean. Another great feature, is the powerful battery pack, making this a cordless, lightweight vacuum! The charge lasts a long time, and is just as powerful, as the corded, larger Hoover vacuum, that I own. We have a Himalayan cat that sheds long fur quite a bit! This is a challenge for a good pet vacuum, and this new, lightweight vacuum does a great job, with picking up fur and other dirt, etc. on our carpets! All in all, this lightweight vacuum is a keeper!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is apparently replacing the Linx cordless and it's a huge improvement! It has more power and the best part is that you have 3 options, one of which is that you can vacuum the hard floors without having the brush down. This feature saves your brush for any rugs. We don't have carpeting, but I'm sure it will do a great job for that as well.
