Dosage
Adults and children 12 years and over: One teaspoon 1 to 3 times daily. Children 6 to under 12 years of age: 1/2 teaspoon 1 to 3 times daily. Follow with additional fluid to aid product action before or after meals, mornings or evenings. Children under 6 years of age: Consult a doctor.

Directions. Mix this product with at least 8 ounces (a full glass) of water or other liquid. Taking this product without enough fluid may cause choking. See choking warning. DO NOT USE IF PRINTED SEAL UNDER CAP IS TORN OR MISSING. WARNINGS. CHOKING: Taking this product without adequate fluid may cause it to swell and block your throat or esophagus and may cause choking. Do not take this product if you have difficulty in swallowing. If you experience chest pain, vomiting, or difficulty in swallowing or breathing after taking this product, seek immediate medical attention. DO NOT USE. ? when abdominal pain, nausea or vomiting are present unless directed by a doctor. ? if constipation lasts for more than seven days. ? if you have difficulty swallowing. STOP USE AND ASK A DOCTOR IF. You experience total rectal bleeding or fail to have a bowel movement, as these may be signs of a serious condition. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away. Laxatives, including bulk fibers, may affect how other medicines work, wait 1-2 hours before or after taking other medicine. Tamper-evident bottle mouth sealed for your protection. Do not use if imprinted inner seal is broken or missing. Do not discard product into any plumbing system. NOTICE: This product should be taken with at least a full glass of liquid. This works Well...
This works just as good as the name brand stuff. It doesn't taste bad at all and it' easy to drink. I drink it at night and in the morning..

Doesn't taste as good and is grittier than brand
Compared to the brand name psylium this is coarser and harder to mix. It also doesn't taste very good compared to the original. Disappointing. I am actually going to toss it and get the old stuff which shows you. Equate usually does a better job with generic stuff.

not worth it by far
I have been using metamucil for a long time, so I ran out and I was a little short on money, so I decided to give equate a chance because it was so much cheaper, and it just isn't the same thing at all, I don't understand the amount of good reviews this product has, I guess they haven't tried the real thing, for my experience you get what you pay for, not worth it. buy the real product.
