John Frieda Day 2 Revival Dry Conditioner 5.3 oz

I was given this dry conditioner to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and will likely purchase this product once it runs out. This is the first time I have tried a dry conditioner, so I did not know what to expect. I typically wash my hair every three days and style it either naturally wavy or blow it out straight. My hair is fairly thick and has lots of fly-aways and frizz. This product has been used between the wash days (along with a dry shampoo on my roots) on both wavy and straight hair styles. Pros: -This product lives up to its claims to reduce frizz and add shine. -There was a noticeable added softness to my hair after using the product -My hair never felt greasy or weighed down—even when I used too much (like stated in the application directions, a little goes a long way). -The use of the product creates an incredible balance to my style when using a dry shampoo at the roots. Cons: -When applied too liberally on my wavy style, I felt I lost a bit of the curl. Even so, my hair still did not feel weighed down. I learned to use less product when I wanted to maintain more of my wave—and still was able to reduce frizz and add shine. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

This dry conditioner exceeded my expectations. I've tried others before and got more of a greasy feel, this one did not feel or look greasy and even later in the day I didn't notice a greasy feel. I was not a fan of dry conditioners prior to this one and was happy at how my hair looked after quickly spraying and combing through my hair. This dry conditioner helped to reduce fly-aways and kept my hair shiny. It didn't weigh my hair down and I know I used more than what the directions said. I find myself using this every 2 or 3 days after shampooing to spruce up my hair, I don't have a great hair color and this makes me look like I've got some shine to it.
