Meguiar's M205 Mirror Glaze Ultra Finishing Polish, M20532, 32 oz

Meguiar's M205 is the industry standard for auto paint polishes. It's only a polish though, so if you're looking for paint protection be sure to then apply wax or sealant to your paint afterward. The average daily driver would benefit from an all-in-one product such as a cleaner wax to remove light oxidation along with some paint protection. That said, I used this to remove swirls & scratches from a hard German ceramic clear coat paint finish. Using microfiber buffing pads I used a dual action polisher on one section & a rotary polisher on the other section of my car's trunk lid. Both machines did about the same level of correction, with the rotary being faster, but adding in hologram swirls with the added speed. I'll have to slow it down to bring up the shine & remove the holograms. In the bright sunlight I did notice some super light scratches introduced into the clear after my first test. The microfiber pads may have been at fault there. The second test will use a softer foam polishing pad to see if that will reduce the spiderweb swirls. Overall, the M205 performed just under my expectation for the hard clear coat paint. I was hoping it would correct a little better. But it remove light swirls & wiped off fairly easily with a microfiber towel.
