I will never own any other ice trays!

The silicone lid comes off easily; full unit goes in dishwasher. Fill, smooth lid over bottom to press out excess water. Once frozen, unit can stand on any side without a spill to make the most of freezer space. These are a half-round shape, full-size as a cube shape. With arthritis in all hand %26 wrist bones, I needed ice that removes itself. Ice rocks out with one finger or utensil, or turn unit over an ice pan to empty. I've owned four trays well over a year, and never want anything else.

I've tried other trays with lids and silicone bottoms, but that silicone wears out and leaks eventually. For this tray, most of the ice releases itself. The cubes that don't can easliy be removed. If used as directed, there is not leaking in the freezer.
