This charcoal is so versatile.I use it in the bottom of all my plants in containers, I use rocks and charcoal at the bottom. If I have a plant with no drainage hole, I put extra charcoal at the bottom, so the water won't make the roots rot. i also use this for my orchids.And charcoal has many uses inside the house as well as outside. good quality good amount for the price
