Free of static discharge

I had to change the dying CMOS battery, coin-shaped CR2032 in my 10-year old DELL XPS 8900 Windows 10-based PC. Google indicated that without a wrist grounding strap just touching the unpainted metal case would be sufficient to release static discharge. But I wasn't taking any chances so I got this anti-static mat and wrist strap. It worked: I was able to replace the battery without incident. Very helpful.

Simple and Effective

I used this mat to build my latest PC. It does everything right by staying simple: clip the grounding wire to the mat, and clamp the other end on a metal surface to ground the mat. Ground yourself with the included wrist strap (I recommend wearing it on your ankle if you need more maneuverability), and you can tackle any project without worry.
