More Coconut than Cocoa
So, personally, I find this absolutely delicious. But I was completely taken aback when I first opened it and it smelled like coconut, not chocolate. It's not a big bag, but only takes a 1/4 cup to make a big frappe. Blended well in my little personal blender. A little grainy (typical of coconut), but pretty smooth overall. I appreciate it being dairy free, so mixed with my favorite plant-based milk my lactose adverse tummy was very happy. The flavor is predominately coconut with the chocolate more of an after taste. It is like drinking an almond joy candy bar on ice. If you don't like coconut, you'll want to pass on this. It is sweet, but not overly so. Was enough to make my sweet tooth happy without putting me on a sugar high and subsequent crash.
I was not expecting such refreshment!
I went into this expecting the familiar hot cocoa flavor but I was, at first, surprised by not getting that. Instead, I was met with a chilly, coconutty, cocoa milkshake flavor. I happen to enjoy the flavor of coconut so I found it pleasant. By the end of my glass, I felt as though it was quite refreshing. I enjoyed it and so do the kids!
