Great Item Except For One Thing

The sharpener is easy to handle, even with Arthritic hands and fingers. The point comes out nice and sharp. The only problem I have is that I can't figure out how to open it to dump out the shavings. I'm afraid to pry open anywhere with a screwdriver. There is a slot that looks it can take a small screwdriver, but when I try to open it, it won't budge anything.
