great tool!

this is a GREAT value. the spade does a great job up through medium-heavy transplants (probably higher if i had the chance to use it on heavy duty work), is extremely well built and solid and cuts through compacted hard soil and roots like a knife through warm butter. i also like that it did its job holding up to my "foot stomping" to further loosen soil and roots to aid removal. no need to pay "big bucks" for the other guys. bravo fiskars!!

Great Shovel!

I live in an area that is full of clay, making digging very difficult. This shovel is great because it is pointed and narrow, making it easy to get through the solid clay. I am a firm believer in build it with some margin and this shovel has that. It is tough and strong, allowing you to take a full shovel, even in clay, without worrying that you are going to break the handle. Lastly, the handle on the end gives you great leverage and makes the job easier. I would buy this again and am wondering why I didn't get it sooner.

bought this for digging metal detector finds. Works great for that purpose. Maybe a little long in the handle, but that only seems to effect carrying while detecting.
