The menthol flavor does not get digested

I like these, they work on a tickle in the throat. However, the menthol ingredient does not break down on its trip through the digestive tract or kidneys. You may experience bladder irritation and a warm burning sensation when urinating, especially women. You might have to get up more often at night due to bladder being irritated. I like these but will be switching to a sugar free version of cough drop without this particular medication in the formula.

equate brand HIGHLY recommended unless you seriously just personally love some other brand's specific flavor; if you have a cold or ALLERGIES these are GREAT for VALUE PRICE %26 seem to apparently help calm down my emergent exertion asthma, we've discovered. also if you're gunky in the AM melt 'em by the pair in stupid hot water %26 yeah that works, best with this honey lemon. high meltability like most cough drops so get the other-wrapped ones if you leave 'em in your car purse or pockets but these are good to buy this big bag %26 keep some around. thanks

The cough drops were effective at easing my throat and my cough. The taste was as I expected, menthol, but it was pleasant and being sugar-free. I was surprised how sweet they actually tasted overall completely satisfied will definitely buy again if needed.
