This is the BEST heating pad I have ever owned!! It is very soft fabric. Not that crappy plastic stuff like the other ones I have and this one is very large. Reaches from my waist down past my knee!! Only $8. more than the small crappy plastic one I had. Get you one of these,!! Highly recommend!! The scale is 2-5 I say it's definitely a 10!!!! I have sciatica and it's affecting my back, hip, thigh and knee and this covers it all. 6 heat settings,!! That's great! My other ones only have 3!! FANTASTIC PRODUCT! May get another one for spare.

Not the best available!

This heating pad was very soft but it had two obvious problems right from the start. 1) The heat was not evenly distributing throughout the heating pad causing there to be cold sections and hot pockets. Unless you put the pad in just the right position you don't feel the heat. 2) The heat feature turns off way too early. You just turn it on and before you know it the pad has turned itself off. The consistent, even distribution of heat is exceedingly important in a heating pad and I didn't find this particular pad able to meet these requirements. For these reasons I wouldn't be comfortable recommending this particular heating pad so Ireturned it.
