1 cup = 104 grams. Feeding Guidelines: 1 lb Dog: 1/8 to 1/4 cup daily. 3 lb Dog: 1/4 to 3/8 cup daily. 5 lb Dog: 3/8 to 1/2 cup daily. 10 lb Dog: 3/4 to 1 cup daily. 20 lb Dog: 1 to 1-1/4 cups daily. These guideline amounts are a starting point and your dog may need more food depending upon age, activity and temperament. In order to reach optimal body condition, you may need to adjust food intake. This represents the total recommended volume of food per day. You should divide the total recommended feeding amount by the number of times you feed your dog per day to get the actual portion size per feeding. Feed this formula to small breed dogs (up to 20 lbs) - 1 year and older. Remember to have clean, fresh water available for your dog at all times. Because Iams ProActive Health Small & Toy dog food is complete and balanced for adult dogs, you do not need to add vitamin or mineral supplements. When introducing Iams Dog Food, gradually mix it with your dog's current food over the course of 4 days. Perfect sized dry feed for Toy Dogs!!
I've searched for long time for a good small sized dry dog feed for our Toy Chihuahua!!! He weighs only 5 1/2 lb. That's big to some Toy Chihuahuas & other Toy Dogs!!! I used Pedigree Toy & Small Breed for about 2 yrs & then Pedigree changed the size, the content of the food & put bigger & more chunks to sharpen their teeth in the bag. He wouldn't touch it!!! So, I looked up the Toy Breed Dog Food & came up with the Iams Adult Small & Toy Breed!!! I was so glad I found it!!! Until I got it I didn't know if he'd eat it, but he ate it right away!!! & still loves it!!! He's a bit of a finicky eater & of course, with his size he doesn't eat much!!! That's the other problem!!! Whichever brand dog feed I get, about 1/2 will turn rancid smelling before he can eat it all!!! I realize it is hard & not easy to put the feed in smaller containers, but it would be a GREAT HELP to us one-dog owners!!! Before we had a bigger Rat Terrier & it was no problem!!! Please, see if Iams can come up with a small box or bag of the Adult Small & Toy Breed Dog Feed!!! & not too expensive!!! Thank You!!!

My small 13 year old Pomeranians have eaten this brand and type since they were 1 (they ate Iams puppy food before then). Iams has something in it that keeps their feces small and compact, making it easier to clean up. They love the taste and the very small pieces are easy to eat, even for my one dog with few teeth.

Great for pups with sensitive skin
This dog food is the only food my pup, Ollie, can eat! Any other food I have tried for him makes his skin break out and itch, requiring a visit to the vet! I am very sensitive to smells and this food doesn't have a strong scent.
