Came at the right time

This arrived on January 20. On January 24 the ice storm that blew through the area did a very efficient job of knocking out the power which is still out four days later but should be back soon. The next day I got out the mess kit, set up the stove and lit two tablets. About twenty minutes later I had a comfortably hot pot of soup. Negating the health value of canned tomato soup, the stove did an efficient job of providing heat to get dinner hot. It is not really something to use for cooking bacon and eggs but for anything that goes in a pot it works quite nicely. It is possible to bring something to a boil but that takes more fuel tablets and significantly more patience. But for soup or grits it will get things ready within a reasonable time, I have used stoves like this design in the past, some were heavier and more than a few were much lighter. This one is not overly heavy but is definitely more durable than others that have crossed my path.

A friend of mine recently used this and it was easy to transport and easy to use. Got the job done for cooking. I ordered in case of emergency when we had a recent freeze and it came quick. I'm hoping to never use it but nice peace of mind knowing we have it.
