This machine is an attention-getter with adults and kids alike. It is so well made and will last many, many years. I fill it with skittles or jelly beans rather than gum balls and the grandkids love it as a special treat. I let the pre-schoolers "earn" their penny and it makes it all the more fun for them. It's pretty funny to see grown men searching their pockets for a coin and wanting to "borrow" a penny when they come up empty.....I tell them they have to "earn" it just like the kids:-)
