I got these to try to do repair on my jeans and a few other things. just start with everything came box , nice and compact The instructions are clear, but I followed my own modified.Because of where I was doing the grommet placement. It's not super simple , it's not horrendously hard to do. patience I think is all that's needed.. the whole punch without a hammer, helped punch through the hole on my jeans that was already there, just not big enough.I like the grip and the texture of it to hold hold it well . the grommet pliers also have a nice grip to the handle. in it comes to tones gold and silver. i received the three eighth inch outer diameter grommet's size. and it does help you match up with the instruction paper in the picture. to do this in my jeans. I used the whole punch to expand the hole. not with a hammer. but with the pressure of my hand.. I recommend you put something very hard behind it.If you use the hammer then cleaned up the hole from threads. because of my chosen medium , it took me a little bit of time. instead of doing what the instructions did I place the washer at the back. rather than the instructions that said , put it on the grommet pliers. I then lined up the ground pliers with the cone to the washer and the flatter spot to the grommet. the action folds down a part of the grommet over the washer. it does take a little bit of strength , but not herculean.. voila. you have a grommet , you need to be careful when you place the grommet and the washer that you have it in a direction that works for you . whole nice , neat and clean. I did submit pictures of this item including my jean results lol. i think the more you use at the easier it becomes. price wise , it is fair because of as you can see how much you get. none of it feels cheap. I do recommend this grommet punch system . i do also recommend that you say little jars , baby food and possibly something like the size of a horse radish jar to hold the grommets and the baby jars to hold the washers. gives you the size you will approximately need. or use bags. i just prefer to use glass jars. easy to see easy to remark I hope you like this review and it helps you
