The first thing i noticed with a large size insole is that it fits perfect in shoe without having to trim. A low volume shoe would require careful insole trim for snug fit. Cushioning performed well across different activities like running (on-road, running track and treadmill), sprints, box jumps (feels firmer than plush like foam insoles), walking, outdoor work, functional training like deadlifts and weighted squats. There is no fatigue noticed but the runs are short though, very short break-in period needed. It has short absorption Will need better cushion for off-road or trail speific runs. No foul odor noticed as this is made of anti-odor material. The heel stays in the cup so it helps under weight. The arch support is medium to high for fallen arches. No wear noticed so far and the insoles feel durable. Part of the material is plastic or mix of it but not carbon fiber or rubber bottom

These insoles seem to be made with two layers: a foamy top layer and a denser, rubbery bottom.  I ordered these inserts in size XL.  They fit my size 13 shoes just fine without needing any trimming.  These are significantly thicker than any of the insoles that come with a pair of new shoes.  And, they seem thicker than the ones I've purchased from Dr. Scholl's at a similar price-point.  While wearing them, I noticed effective cushioning under the balls of my feet and big toes, as well as improved support for my collapsed arches.
