The JusArt Detail Paint Brushes Set is really nice. The brushes have an ergonomic triangular handle that makes them more comfortable to grip so they aren’t as likely to slip out of my hand, or roll away if I put the brush down for a minute. The handles are very smooth. This set includes 12 miniature brushes in a full range of sizes (10/0, 5/0, 3/0, 2/0, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8). These brushes appear to have the precision to make the smallest detail come to life. It says the bristles are made of synthetic nylon and that these brushes can be used with acrylics, oils, watercolors, gouache, enamels, and tempera paints. Their durable bristles absorb and release paint evenly, delivering smooth, precise strokes on any medium. I also like that each brush has a protective tube to keep its shape to help them last longer. After you have finished using them, clean with warm soapy water and reshape the tips. I put the plastic tube back on to help keep their shape. I am impressed with these.

I’ve been updating my watercolor supplies since the last time I used them was in college, and I’ve gotten wonderful color sets, special brushes that hold water, and lots of specialized watercolor paper. However, my regular art brushes are just OK and pretty old now, and I was looking for higher quality brushes that would deliver precise strokes, from small to medium, and this set totally fits the bill! One of the best features of these brushes is that they have a triangular grip so you can get an excellent hold on the brush and execute the best control when making brush strokes. They’re a good length, and they are very good quality fibers in each brush, much finer yet stronger than my old sets. Each brush comes with a plastic top protector as usual, but is still very appreciated. It’s also extremely convenient that each brush can be taken from its place, used, then cleaned and put back in it spot, and then you can shut the brushes back up in it thick paper case. You don’t need a different holder or art organizer for these, they’re easily identifiable from the packaging, and the whole thing is is small as a thin book that can fit almost anywhere. I look forward to using these with my new watercolor paints and maybe try them out with acrylics as well. Great set and great value!
