This is my first automatic cleaning litter box , I am so happy with this purchase and my two cats both began using it immediately. There is a delay function , I’ve set mine for 6 minutes . Seems to work well . Paid $149 for it during Black Friday , I use arm and hammer unscented clumping litter. One of my cats does not usually cover up his mess when he goes . I do wish there was a shaker option for this to make sure everything is clumped up before it cleans itself.

I’m absolutely thrilled with the Cumrige Self-Cleaning Litter Box! Assembling it was super easy, thanks to the included instruction manual, which provided very helpful tips. It took me less than 10 minutes to assemble it and get it started. I have 2 cats and they both took to it fairly quickly. I was a bit disappointed that I wouldn't be able to use crystal litter we are used to. That is all my cats have been using all along, because I felt that it kept the house fairly odor-free better than the experience I had with previous cats and clay litter. To my delight, they didn't mind the switch at all. I left their old litter box around for 2-3 days in case they needed time for the change, but they stopped using it immediately. The feature I like the most is how quiet the cleaning cycle is. I was concerned that the noise would spook my youngest cat and I would have a hard time getting him to use it, but it is so quiet and smooth that I have had trouble even hearing it at all. :-) The motor operates so silently that it doesn’t disturb sleep or make the cats nervous. I don't know how the sensors work, but in ~ 2 weeks of use, I have had no issues of it starting to clean while my cats are inside. I love that the app allows you to set how long a delay before it starts cleaning. I wanted to avoid it starting at all while they were in there so I started with a 6 minute delay. I have been able to reduce that delay to 3 minutes and it works like a charm. Bonus feature: as the drum rotates to dump the waste, it never completely encloses the space. In theory, if it ever were to fail, my cats still have enough of a gap to squeeze out if they needed to. Another thing I absolutely love is that the litter box is always clean and odor-free. I have not manually scooped litter in ~2 weeks. Instead of me scooping every day, all I have to do is empty the container when the app notifies me that it is full. Just slide the box out, toss the liner with the waste and replace it with a new one. I have only done that once since we started 2 weeks ago. Keep in mind I have 2 adult cats. For someone who has only one or kitten(s), they may have a longer period in between. I found myself adding a bit of litter when I changed the waste container liner to replace what was lost. So far, I think I will be saving on litter costs as it keeps it clean and dumps very little out. The app is very useful, too. It gives me a report on the weight of the cat(that's how I know who is using it when), how long it takes them to use the litter box, and how many times it is used throughout the day. It allows me to customize the delay between the cat leaving and the cleaning cycle starting. The app is the perfect complement to an already amazing device. Overall, this self-cleaning litter box has been a game-changer. It saves me time, stays super clean, and lets both me and my cats enjoy a more peaceful home. I highly recommend for any cat owner looking to simplify litter maintenance!
